This was drawn by my dear derby friend, Poison IV aka Julie. She drew an octopus. Second one I’ve had in here! She has some skill. She drew this in the car on our way to LA for a roller derby bout. (neither of us driving) I really love when people utilize the whole frame and none of my skin is left.

Today I met up with Kyle for coffee. We had never met in person but we have a few mutual friends and we’ve been following each other on tumblr for a few months or so. Today we decided to meet up finally and it was grand. We talked of music, school, hummus, grapes, pets, family, tattoos, ect. He’s a cool guy, ya’ll should consider following him. He’s available and he loves Jesus! ;]

He drew a heart with fire coming out of the top and water under the heart with a banner that reads “Luke 12:24” which is his favorite verse.

This scribble was by my favorite Kenyan child, Boa. He randomly had a pen on this day and I tried to have him draw more but that’s all I got out of him. He’s 5 years old, doesn’t talk much. His father is never around and his step-mom beats him and neglects him. I hung out with him 5 days a week when we went to the church in Kawangware slum to work. I love him very much. His laugh brings me great joy. I am sending him to nursery school! It only costs about $10 a month :)

On April 16th, my friend/former OC Roller Girl, Spanky Doodle a.k.a. Emily drew in my polaroid tattoo. She is an artist/perfectionist and this was the 3rd take. She drew this after we went to the Vagina Monologues. Spanky is awesome and I love her lots.

My friend Wyatt is from Florida and he moved out to San Diego (an hour from me) a month ago. Our friend Eric went back to his home in Florida for Thanksgiving but Wyatt couldn’t because of a new job. So I invited Wyatt over for Thanksgiving dinner and it was exquisite! We watched Back to the Future and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. The he and I played Mario Party 2. Good times.

So he drew a pilgrim with a shot gun and a dead turkey, haha.

My close friend and hair-stylist, Jennie Love drew this colorful owl. She has been doing my hair for like…6 years and we have gotten really close the past couple years. I was a bridesmaid in her wedding back in April and she does my hair like every other month if not more. (sometimes even less) Jennie is a very talented lady. Versatility is her middle name.  She does hair, make up, models, photographs, edits, ect. She has tons of body modifications and I think she is absolutely gorgeous. Inside and out :)

Yesterday my friend Liz gathered like 25 of her friends for a welcome home party. She was on a 4 month tour with Allison Iraheta on the Adam Lambert Glam tour. (okay enough name-dropping) I am so glad she is back home. I had her draw in my polaroid. She drew a Boy and a Girl, so cute :) She is a great artist. She sells paintings here. Now that she is home she’ll be selling a lot more. She also is an amazing singer in BannerHill Check out their music :) it’s great pop punk.

This was drawn today by my bestest friend Katie. We have been friends since we met at the YMCA pool in 2nd grade; 1995. She started by drawing half of a heart then went on to draw her and I in our favorite colors :) Katie is such a wonderful human being. We have so many memories together, mostly good. She struggled with leukemia in the beginning of our friendship and has beat it. PTL! We used to make claymation videos, play with Barbies, collect Beanie Babies, go to the mall, ect. She lives in the city we grew up in and my dad still lives there as well. So whenever I visit my dad, I try my hardest to hang out with Katie. I love her so much and would not be the person I am now, without having her as a friend growing up.

This was drawn on July 3rd, 2010 by Kelli Boyle. She is the founder of Random People Who Care. I helped out at the RPWC booth at Cornerstone 2010. She is a great woman. I really enjoyed talking to her. She listens to hardcore and metal and is really close with her daughter Selah. She lives in Alaska. Kelli is rad. She drew a flying heart that says “Love Soars” inside it. :)
