“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.”—1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Modern-day slavery is the age-old economic story of supply & demand. I'm struggling as I try to find non-Christianese & tell a broader story to humanity by defining the links between the SUPPLY of sex-slaves that the traffickers are feeding & the initial DEMANDS to pay for sex that begin first in our mind.
How does one not use Christian-lingo like "purity" & invite a broader conversation to the table?
wow, great question!! In third grade the album Tragic Kingdom by No Doubt came out (quite sad that some of my followers were either not alive or infants when this occurred haha) and I became obsessed with the song Don’t Speak. Not too sure how it moved me but I have a lot of memories of it. Also, when I was younger than that (or same age)..I learned that Alanis Morissette’s Ironic was not an accurate illustration of what ironic actually means haha. I distinctly remember the car ride with my sister when she explained it.
